If you want a more professional medical environment and want to be treated by professional physicians and staff, DO NOT GO HERE.
Going here can only be described as riding a psychotic horse towards a burning stable. When I questioned why he is moving in this direction, I was told that this is how we roll. Considering this physician was not a Neurologist and had a clear indication from my medical record of how my care was being managed, insisted I try something completely new.
They have a different approach I was told. When I finally saw a physician and he reviewed my medication history, I have a neurological disease, he stated he not be writing a prescription for 2 of the 3 drugs I have taken for 12 years now. Again, no sense of privacy as this place does the blood work in the exam room, once again with the doors open. Second I had to have some blood work performed. I explained I didn't feel comfortable with her asking me private health questions with the exam room door open, as there were people walking by constantly, she then stood and slammed the door, then with an attitude continued the intake. During my intake I asked the CNA to please close the exam room door, she replied that she"s too hot and needs to keep the door open. I was brought into an exam room where the door was left open. HIPAA? What's that? Should be the motto at this clinic. Waiting in the lobby I observed several staff members speaking negatively about a patient they just checked-in as they were being led to an exam room, mentioning some sensitive PHI. Having transferred my care from an out of state LGBTQ wellness center to COWC I was expecting to feel the same support and inclusive environment I experienced the past 25 years with my previous experience, hardly the case here.
